Diamond Eyez"My eyes shine like diamonds"Time Zone Entertainment presents Diamond Eyez (Kamsha Morris), the newest singer, rapper, dancer and model to emerge from Bronx NY, the birthplace of Hiphop culture where she was born and raised. Her parents are originally from Jamaica thus the strong West Indian influence in her style. At an early age she began writing poetry and practice singing her favorite Whitney Houston songs. It was at the tender of age of 9 years old that she wrote a poem about "Crime" which eventually got published in the Library of Congress of Anthology.Music certainly runs in her blood and it’s no coincidence that this is the path that she has chosen...her cousin is Reggae legend Peter Tosh and her grandfather is Ras Michaelworldwide drummer for Ras Michael & The Sons of Negus. Diamond Eyez also credits Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Foxy Brown, Lady of Rage, Eve, Lil Kim, Brandy, Biggie,Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and especially her Mom Princess, as some of her biggest influences. She says, "We need more female emcees in the music industry today,I look forward to collaborations with some of these Hiphop artists. We need more music that is on a positive level, promoting unity and female empowerment."Diamond Eyez met her manager and Time Zone Entertainment founder Donovan Thomas back in 2004 and he began to guide her career. Thomas himself is no stranger to the music business having discovered Reggae sensation Lil Vicious who scored the classic smash hit "Freaks" featuring Hiphop superstar Doug E Fresh. Thomas also discovered Platinum Elektra recording artist Dante Thomas, Reggae artist and dancer Brukup (featured in Busta Rhymes’ colorful video "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See") and also worked withReggae superstar Beenie Man,In 2007, Diamond Eyez began to take her craft seriously and she began to cut a few demo songs that would eventually make her yet-untitled album.The album boasts production by Contraband, Super Dave ,Pit (Party Like A Rockstar) Sanchez T.I album Loon the rapper , and Donavan Thomas. Diamond Eyez makes it perfectly clear that she is a songwriter as welland that she absolutely writes all her songs. Every lyric is straight from the heart and soul evidenced in her debut single "This Chick Is Outta Control". She explains, "The song is about girlsbeing free and independent. I’m doing what I want to do and no one can’t tell me anything. because I’m outta control!" "Freeze" is a glamorous high fashion modeling type record."Big Things" is yet another girl power song. She says, "I’m telling guys that OK...you have the fancy cars, nice house, and money but I have it too, Everything that you have...I have it as well."I Ain’t Into It" is all about not trying to get intimate. She just want to have fun before the night is done.Diamond Eyez recently graced the stages having performed for Tommy Hilfiger’s Holiday Jam and a Benefit for the Alzheimers Disease and she strives for longevity in this fickle music business, Five years from now she envisions selling millions and making sound investments, She says,"I want to help kids so I would love to get involved in various organizations to help the youth follow their dreams. If you can promote more positive music then the youth will look up to you." I want to go out and empower the youth and encourage them to be somebody.Diamond Eyez describes her music as Hiphop...Fun, Sexy, and Fabulous.
