Gavin Douglas is an award winning fashion designer and recently won the prestigious Fashion Fringe title in September 2006. The award was established by IMG and Colin McDowell, the senior fashion writer for the Sunday Times. Douglas was Chosen from a panel of judges including Tom Ford, Nick Knight, Giles Deacon, Sarah Mower and Hillary Alexander. Gavin Douglas has recently launched his new business label and also his solo debut show on the official London Fashion Week calendar in February 2006.The collection was titled Queens of the Ocean, for Autumn/ Winter 2008 Douglas looked towards 40s fashion and lifestyle. The collection referred to the return of luxury after World War II the period was prestigious and lavish and it bought new adventures and social status.
