Hi there,
welcome to the profile.I'm Steve RH,Oldskool and retro House DJ from 102.8 Chorley FM which broadcasts across North West UK and worldwide online @ www.chorley.fm .The shows called 'HANDBAGS AND HARDBAGS' and it's the sound of 90s House and clubland and goes out live every friday night 10PM-12AM with my partner in crime Unzi where we spin and mix up the finest 90s House and club classics.

I've been DJ'ing since 1989 and my sound is 90s House music and I also play 90s trance and 80s House.I got into House music in 1987 after hearing Krush 'House arrest'I couldn't believe what I was hearing and I instantly conected with the music and have never looked back since.I soon discovered the new sound I loved was called House and we've been married ever since(lol)!
80s House was cutting edge and very exciting and just when I thought it couldn't get any better the 90s House came along.90s House music was so popular and the scene was so big it became known as Handbag House.Handbag House and the Garage sound that ran along side it were sexy,fun and full of great tunes and people.In the clubs girls wore Fur scarves,a thong,kinky boots and not much else (wicked) and guys dressed sharp and sported french crop hair do's.After hours clubs and sunday House clubs were developing the Hardbag House sound which was a bit like going back to the old raves and was pioneered by the likes of Tony De Vit,this sound later became Hard House.
I've got a lot of great memories from those days of brilliant music,fun people and extreme clubbing so as a DJ I wanna keep the classic House tunes of the 80s and 90s alive but I do love the new side of things too.

My Interests

HOUSE MUSIC in all it's many forms.From Chicago classics from the likes of Frankie Knuckles,Adonis,Farley "Jackmaster" Funk,through Acid House,Techno and New Beat.Into Hardcore/Jungle and finally into all the Big 90s House and Garage including a bit of UK Garage.I also like some computer gaming,Tomb Raider is my kind of thing.Car boot sales are great on a sunday morning for the buzz of finding old records and collectables at stupidly cheap prices. I've got a bit of a soft spot for collecting old 80's transformers and zoids toys and I like to socialise with friends,meet new interesting people and i like a bit of tv and film.I qiuet like visitng places for a day out as well,most UK city centres are a good day out but I also like to escape to the country here and there too.When I DJ at a club or Rave I like to make a night of it as well and guzzle a few bears till till the sun comes up.

Television:

Simpsons,Neighbours,X Factor,American idol,Never mind the Buzzcocks+ any other good comedy.Cookery and interior design programs/property programs.Family guy,American dad,LOST,Fresh Prince of Bell Air and Hollyoaks.

Books:

Dont really read much.Last book I read was Lord of the rings "the fellowship of the ring" back in about 96'.
