Roy b set up friends radio back in august of 1989.people never knew what hit them.as here was a radio station with no rules or restrictions on what a dj could play.100.7 on the fm dial was what the airwaves needed it was fun and it showcased some of londons best dj talent .mad b became the father to a whole new family the station policy was one of the best in london and gave birth to some of londons biggest rave organistion telepathy, redemtion, alfa centuri, in the name of love. world party, to name just a few.it also broke some big acts like Tricky warp records The addis posse warriors dance 2 killos and shades of rhythm.formula 7 came out of a need to bring something new onto the airwaves.Bizzy B's brain studio had lot to do with the developmet of formula 7. The first record on mad B's label was its not just ragga in october 1990 it sold 1500 in seven days formula 7 was now born and no one put 2+2 together that mad B was in fact formula 7.dj bones and his singer girlfriend opium joined formula 7 in 1992 togther this new team put out madbones vo1-4 and the club anthem dance with me which had a video on mtv .dj ruffkutt also became part of the team co producing eternity which got big reviews in dj mag knowledge,it was at this time john peel played a formula 7 track on radio 1 and bought the uk underground music to a bigger audience. what had been achieved was hard work and determination of someone who believed he could make a difference with music.i was one of those people that made friends quite easly but some people took me being quite as someone who was aloof. so i shall say this now im not and respect all who have come up too me to say how much they have enjoyed my sets over the years.im greatful to be able to let people enjoy what i do
