About Me

BIO:
French speaking Belgian- from Congolese descent - and an islander since the late 80's, BILONDA symbolizes the divine expression of a universal language: music. Gifted with a diamond vocal texture, with polychromed and polyglot modulations, BILONDA takes us at the heart of a groove coloured musical quest: soul, jazz, house and gospel !
This stylistic richness opens the door to heterogeneous sounding prestigious collaborations which are slowly and steadily shaping a budding solo career. Her presence magnetizes the audiences, under the charm of an artist that generously shares her humanity and emotions. Concerts, studio recordings, musical comedy, piano bars, gospel and musical shows sum up her amazing visit card !
PRESENT EVENTS/Solo project:
This summer, BILONDA will make her way to the studio to record her own compositions, in French and English, to release her first solo album !!! At the same time, she keeps on touring with "Jazztic", an international modern dance production show directed by the company "Puntiapart" (ES). She also shares and spreads her positive energy with DJ's such as: Solveg, Mr Fuzz, U-Ness and Kiko Navarro.
At home, Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza, she has performed or still perform at venues such as: Son Amar, PachÃ¡ Mallorca, Tito's, Costa nord, Teatro Pereyra, Blue Marlin, Kaelum club, Blue Jazz Club.PRESENT/Collaborations:
As for now, BILONDA is singing on "Feel Alive", third single produced by "The Demetrios Project & Layers of Sound", already released by "Layers of Sound Recordings". This track comes out in June 2008 as part of the "House is Love: vol. 2" compilation -Conya/Clubstar-, remixed by Henri Kohn, an institution within the German House scene. In 2007, the singles "Mission" and "Thanking You" were respectively included in the "Ministry of Sound" compilations "HouSexy International" and "HouSexy Housewarming", the renowned dance music UK label !
In other repertoire, BILONDA also sings on "1440" and "Club It", first just being released. These songs are on the album "Global Sonar" of the remarkable Mallorca's duet "Tiempos de Lirica". Their Hispanic-English linguistic original blend, as well as the colours of their Hip-Hop enabled them to be surrounded by notorious artists as the American MC BluRum13 -Ninja Tune- and Sakura Nozaki, the innovative Japanese leader of that scene.

This past year has been a very fruitful period for me. I got to collaborate, work, learn, share so many things from so many people.
I just want to thank you all for making me grow.
