Hayashibe Tomonari (key, prog, etc) and Wakiya Takeshi (gt, ba, etc) - bring you the pop sound of a new era. Their music connects various sounds -- everything from pop, mondo, lounge, hip hop, punk, techno, jazz, bigbeat and electro -- and born from these wild combinations is a sense of intense speed always on the edge of total derailment. Plus-Tech Squeeze Box was formed in 1997, and in October 2000, they released their first album "FAKEVOX" in Japan. In January 2002, that album was released in Europe, and Plus-Tech tracks were regularly played on John Peel's famous London radio show. Since that time, Plus-Tech has been busy with more than 20 remixes and compilation appearances. In 2003, they drew international attention when their album track "early riser" was used in a "POWERADE" TV commercial of British Coca-Cola, and a live performance of the band was shown on BBC3's "Adam and Joe Go Tokyo". Lately, Plus-Tech is attracting support from the club field with their remix on the Comoestas Yaegashi-produced "Modernica" compilation album. In June 2004, they released their 2nd album "cartooom!" in Japan. This album’s concept is an imaginary futuristic cartoon (moreover, a slapstick comedy) starring a female android created by two scientists. In November 2004, their new track " Jellyfish Song By The Jellyfish Band " was used in a "The Spongebob Squarepants MOVIE" soundtrack CD in USA. There is no hyperbole in saying that Plus-Tech Squeeze Box's sense of sound combination from all types of genres and ability to sample, hard-disk edit, and mix are world-class.
