Antonio Scandura, best known as risi dj, was born in catania in 1976.
He has been professionally djing since the early nineties.
His musical experiences were influenced by the eighties and in particular his passion for the new order, the pink floyd and the kraftwerk.
But his favourite group was the depeche mode, who put him on the path of electronic sounds and music.
At the end of the eighties, he was interested in new musical styles coming from the U.S.A. and in that loud jungle he found out the explosive sounds of the "HOUSE MUSIC".
Of course,he was inspired by the promoters of the genre like Lil Louis, Frankie Knuckles, C.J. Mackintosh francois k.
Creating on own original style.
Afther playing his dj sets in several parties, he started his carrer at miami club in catania.
In the early 90's, he put on his own illegal parties in famous nightclubs like Lady godiva and Tout Va.These parties became legendary throughout the east coast.
Afterwards, he performs in the most important island nightclubs becoming a protagonis of the sicilian nights.
Dj Risi is currently performing in many clubsof southern italy and he is a resident dj at the Dome in Catania, the new nightlife centre where he works together whit international djs like Stewe Lawler, Erick Morillo, Carl cox, Sven Vath and many others.
