Raised up in a christian environment, gospel was Bernard’s first exposrue to the music world. His first gig was playing drums with his father (who played keys)at Ebeneezer Primitve Baptist church. At the age of eight, he would sneak into his parents’ bedroom and play along with the records and eight track collections when they would leave out of town or go to a late church service. Bernard’s uniqueness as a drummer. is he can duplicate different sounds that a person would ordinarly hear from a sampler or drum machine being produce on live drums with no triggers. He is currently learning how to play keys. He has played for the house band for the CD Party at rythym kitchen, plays for Darnell Levine when needed (God bless you for giving me the oppurtunity), The Light, Micheal Inge. He has also have the pleasure of working with other great musicians such as Tyrus Sass aka Mr. Sizzle (Lol)and Hinkie (William)Hamilton (we’re killing with a three piece band), Mike Hicks (very talented and creative blessed brother), Ron Gilmore, Travis Logan, and a host of other great musicians. Bernard has also played for Frank McComb, gospel recording artists Angela Spivvey and Lemme Battles. He also plays drums for his home church, Upon This Rock Christian church in Murfreesboro,Tn. "I thank God for opening doors for me to showcase the talent He has blessed me with and also has surrounded me with christian friends and musicians (that is a blessing within itself).
