Writing on Records and Stuff

About Me

COMING SOON!!!
I write a column for NONzine, published out of Oklahoma City, called "Tiger Beat From Hell," where I deconstruct Rock'n'Roll, for lack of a better term. I'm the token old guy on staff.
I have written for a wildly diverse group of publications ranging from High Times and OUTline Magazine (Oklahoma's first metrosexual publication) to Cool & Strange Music! and Native Peoples Magazine. My work also appears on many websites, most notably on TulsaTVMemories.com where I also tend to rant on the group blog at least a couple of times a weeks (just in case you need to know my every thought).
I am also working on a biography on Hasil Adkins, the wild man of rockabilly, overlooking his strange and brilliant career.
The blog is a collection of my published pieces. New stuff will be posted every week.
BTW, here's en except of a description of me from a German website translated by a Google translation program:
"Mr. Murg writes a range of cultural matters; arts, the music, the literature, and the policy, and clarifies usually the indigenous American artists who work in the experimental avant-garde and fields. Its subjects not-natives of interview often leave the edge of the traditional culture."
That pretty much sums it up.
