We are Big Brother
Big Brother is a 5-piece Groove band from Santa Clarita (north of Los Angeles). We are made up of 2 guitars, a bass, keys and drums. We’re a group of musicians that came together with one common goal, to play something we all enjoy. Luckily for us, everyone else enjoys it too.
We have influences that range from smooth jazz to heavy metal, and it all blends nicely to create something groovy. We love playing, we love music, we love our audiences and we love everything about what we do.
"The Epiphany EP", (featuring the songs up on the player^) is for sale at $5 apiece, we sincerely apologize that it costs so much, but recording those songs put us in a major monetary defecit, and this is our way of recuperating those losses.

Big Brother started in late 2006, when we had somewhat existed as a 3 piece jam band until November of ‘06, frontman David Pramik met up with former bassist David Berg, and this became the official start of Big Brother. After a few months we found ourselves in need of a new keyboardist. This is when we found Oscar Bugarin who tried out for keys but proved to be much handier on the guitar, so instead by serendipity, he became our lead guitarist. Alec Bart shortly thereafter became Big Brother’s keyboardist. Eventually David Berg left off to college, so we found Ben Johnson to fill the void.
We have many influences that can be heard in our music including; jazz, blues, soul, funk, rock, and acoustic. We usually do not know what style to call ourselves, so in answer to that question we usually say that we fall under the category of groove.

We have played at The Cobalt Café, The Whisky A Go Go, The Knitting Factory, the Scherr Forum in Thousand Oaks, Carvin Hollywood, The Legion Hall, and many coffee shops, restaurants, cafes, and school functions in our home town of Santa Clarita. We perform regularly and have a bi-weekly practice.
