Oh Doctor Saves Lives

About Me

The desert and heat aren't the only thing to melt your face in Mesa, Arizona. Oh Doctor, formed in March of 2005, brings to the table something intense and unprecedented in a genre and scene suffocated by predictable breakdowns and lackluster performance. Laying the foundation, Oh Doctor recorded their demo in May of 2005 titled [mode]. Touring and promoting, they went on to sell over 1,100 copies the following year while being privileged to share the stage with bands such as Lydia, The Meg and Dia Band, Rookie of the Year, Pistolita, Awake and Alert, The Stiletto Formal, and more. Members Kodi and Acey Nixon, Dave Taylor, Clayton McGhan and Merek Davis recorded Oh Doctor's first full length titled "Color Beyond Closed Eyes". The CD, released in September 2006, shows the diversity, maturity, and most importantly, the power of each member. Each song is clearly tied to an emotion or story that the listener can enjoy and ultimately relate to. Dual vocals, layered with intense and complex guitars, frosted by unique and fundamental synth are all enveloped by melodic bass and powerful driving drums. Their live show is one to never miss as the energy between band and fans is so unique and compelling that one can only hope that the music never ends..
