hello
Hi, Ringo here, drummer electric for the instamatics, a 3 piece digital rock band out of Adelaide, South Australia. I enjoy analogue drumming, dress up parties, tripping the light fantastic and hitchhiking on the digital super highway.
Im a big fan of sci-fi super hero movies (what self respecting drummachine isnt) so if I ever take up acting Im going to change my name to Huge Ackman and grow a quiff.
Anyways, this page isnt about me, Im just the drummer its about something much bigger - the band I beat around for - the band I currently love with all my electrical circuits - the band who rocks my digital world - I'm talking bout the instamatics.

biography
Blah blah blah. Yadda yadda yadda. Etc etc. So what else can we say about the instamatics that you haven't read in a thousand other band bios? Well for one thing, Nick smiles a lot, Max is always on time and Joshua boils his strings.
And they think and sound a little different and don't take themselves too seriously. There's no jet black emo fringe. No shoe gazing, choreographed dance routines or alt dot genre branding. They're not trying to be part of a scene - but they're likely going to cause one.
the instamatics are a three piece from Adelaide, South Australia, that play original digital rock. Phat digital beats, big guitars, thumping bass and melodic vocals, this is clique free rock that you can dance to.
The guys are genuine, professional, entertaining and right on the money. Their songs are catchy, energetic, very danceable and highly infectious without cause for hitting the chemist. Their sound is rich, diverse, and downright rockin', without the white noise that surrounds a regular drummer. And there's no too-cool-for-school attitude - just a band that likes to rock up, rock out and get on with the music. Sound quality is the key.
They're new on the scene but don't let that fool you - these guys are super tight after spending a couple of years getting the technology down. They debuted live on Radio Adelaide in November 2006 and hit the live scene in February 2007. Formed in 2004 and having played together in other bands, the boys are ready to take off. And now's the time to get on board.
the instamatics are a digital rock explosion featuring:
+ Nick - vocals and guitar
+ Max - guitar and programming
+ Joshua - bass guitar
(and Ringo - the drummer electric)
Say no to white noise, fire up ya hydrant and say yes to a life full of smiles.
