All the world is a stage

About Me

I'm a bit of a scatter brain sometimes but can be completely focused, even under enormous stress, when I need to. I am trying to dig under the layers of bills, appointments, meetings, L.A. traffic, and every-day nonsense to uncover the meaning of my existence. But sometimes get stressed out at all the time it all takes. I’m Dyslexic and can’t spell worth a shit, thank God for spell check, so in this page there are most likely some errors I’ll never see. I love my friends but this year I have had the unpleasant experience of having several move away. (Katie, Christine, Millissa and now my friend Mike) I will miss the easy hours I’ve spent with you all. I will be coming out to visit soon. I love life and have a tremendous respect for others. I have no tolerance for liars, thieves and con artists and Karma is a bitch anyway so they will get theirs. I try to speak the truth even when it hurts. Go toward what I fear and not take the easy boring road out. I am a feature film director/writer/producer/editor by trade but it’s what I do, not who I am. I think a lot of people in L.A. have a hard time separating the two. I love to laugh and can be crude in the right company, just go rent Bank Brothers if you don’t believe me. Go find what you are looking for – because it’s usually there. If you are intrested in seeing my directors web site it's www.kenguertin.com ..Check out the trailer for "Well Enough Alone"..

Well Enough Alone - New Trailer 2007

Posted Mar 08, 2007

Sometimes memories should stay buried. Joe has no memory of his childhood but after playing a party game pieces of his past emerge and what he finds is terrifying. Introducing Jackson Kuehn and Mary Elizabeth Boylan.

My Interests

Watching and making films, modern archeology, music, bass, drums, guitar & recording music, computers, what makes people tick-really tick, finding cool stuff that people throw out, fixing things, getting out of L.A. on a road trip, camping, helping my friends, animals, photography, keeping up with friends & my family across the country, art, writing, getting dirty doing hard work, old cars, taking naps in the middle of the afternoon, sleeping in late, amazing coincidence's, moments in life that are magic.

I'd like to meet:

People who still look at life with rose colored glasses even though the lenses have been scratched and stomped on. People who will push me if they believe in something. People who can take a joke and come back with a better one. People who want to connect, really connect. People who do what they say and don't just talk about it. Filmmakers that know more than me, (I want to learn more and more). People in search of what life is about and how to get it. People that experience life and don't just live it. Artist, filmmakers, musicians, people who create "whatever" and the rest of the people who know that when we are going six feet under we won't be thinking about how much the nine to five meant.

Music:

These are two songs the last band I was in recorded. I play drums and Guitar on Blue Boy and Bass on Beverly Hills. Just hit the link and down load them. Beverly Hills & Blue Boy Beck, Cake, The Beastie Boys, Björk, The Pretty Things, Dust Brothers, The Cure, Tool, Korn, Radiohead, A Perfect Circle, Linkin Park, NIN, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Violent Femmes, Marilyn Manson, 9 Foot Violet, Tori Amos, System of a Down, and every once in a while I like to here a song or two from, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Pantara, AC/DC, Alice In Chains, Ani Difranco, Utah Phillips, Madonna, Cypress Hill, Beatles, Black Sabbath, Blind Melon, Blink 182, Queens of the Stoneage, Rage Against the Machine, O Brother sound track, Disturbed, Hole, Alanis Morissette, Led Zepplin, Kid Rock, Bitch and Animal, Primus, Weezer, Juliana Hatfield. There aren't any styles of music I don't like but, it depends on what mood I'm in and frankly I loose track of what I'm listening too. I have around 2500 songs in my IPOD and it's a song here and a song there. I can only stand the radio for a short time due to the number of commercials and so much of the music sounds like it was cut and pasted together by some group of kids and their engineer all for approval of the record company with no heart and no soul, well no thanks.
