About Me

The Men Who Control the Weather are a subversive paramilitary dance-rock band. From their headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota they take to the highways of America, seeking to undermine 'the man' and bring truth to the good citizens of our country. Conspiracies, alien abduction, zombies, the end of the world - if it's weird they'll expose it, and they'll do it with style. With roots in punk, experimental and good old fashioned rock and roll music, The Men Who Control the Weather produce a sound like no other. Their tongue-in-cheek, grandiose, visions of impending doom are contrasted by their upbeat, danceable rhythms and their wild attitude. Zany synthesizers conspire with hard rock guitar to create the impression that TMWCTW are creating the soundtrack to a sci-fi flick from the 1950's. The Men Who Control the Weather's lineup that you see before you today has been carefully crafted to create an elite mix of musical talent and military skill. These men have become the A-Team of rock music.
The Men Who Control the Weather continually tour the country, and in their travels they have visited many cities, and have told the truth to their citizens.
Notable co-conspirators: Dropping Daylight, Tub Ring, The Plastic Constellations, Dog Fashion Disco, Black Flood Diesel, Screaming Mechanical Brain, Retard-O-Bot, Awesome Car Funmaker, The Show is the Rainbow, Dr. Manhattan and The Moment.
"Despite my most careful searches and investigations, I have never since been able to find 48 Kramer. But I am not wholly sorry; either for this or for the loss in undreamable abysses of the closely-written sheets which alone could have explained the music of The Men Who Control the Weather." - Sir Charles Dexter Ward, professor of metaphysics at Oxford University.
"Way way WAY beyond reasonable" - Henrietta, NY Police
