After living and working in NYC for a year I am finally finally settled...I work as assistant manager at Dubway Studios a fantastic recording facility in midtown...(come check us out!) The owners and engineers are true music lovers and the facility itself is top notch.
Since arriving in New York, via London, Brighton UK and Boston I have been interning and working part time for a wonderful musician and friend Leni Stern. I am working on an EP which she'll be playing on along with my fabulous friend an outstanding pianist Oli Rockberger
who's down there on my top eight (go team!) and Tony Grey
a bassist to die for along with killer drummer Jordan Perlson . All incredible players who I am bursting with pride to be working with. Needless to say, I'm very excited about the project which should be finally mixed at the end of October.
In other news, I recently co-wrote a song with my good friend, film scorer extraordinaire Jonathan Goldberger.
It appears in the new Paul Giamatti film The Hawk Is Dying
directed by Julian Goldberger,
which recently premiered at Sundance and just got distribution. It's expected to come out in cinemas in the spring and I'm excited to go and see it and stand up in the cinema during the end credits with large sunglasses on, shouting "do you have any idea who I am?"
And if you go too, you can tell me "Yes, it's only off myspace, now shut up, sit down and stop causing trouble"
