But what I do for money is not who I am. Is it ever?
I wanna be free to fly by the seat of my pants. I want every day to bring me something different. I want to wake in the morning and be excited because I know that there are infinite possibilities as to what I might experience that day. I suppose that is why I freelance.
I have a sick wicked sense of humour (I did live in England)...So don't be shocked, please.
I love to travel because I want to see the world from as many different perspectives as possible. My life seems different everytime I go to a new place. And when I travel, I do not go to the sites of historic interest, take the tour, and cross it off my list. I wander, meander down obscure alleys whose lights and sounds and activity draw me. I try to imagine being a local. I try to meet locals and blend in. I never do blend in...and that's when I Iearn a bit more about others and a lot more about me.
I grew up outside DC, went to college in LA, and then dropped off into the radical left in England for 5 years before moving here in 2000. My mom is french, so I have two passports.
My moms family were all artists, and my dads all scientists. I am definitely a combination of the two.
I want to find some way to make this world a better place...cuz if you educate yourself as to what's going on...well, it's a scary path we're on, and we better change course soon. It's gonna take a lot of us to change the trajectory.
