Free Theater Tickets!
Free Night of Theater , a national program to attract new audiences to live theater, opens in 26 cities on across the country on Thursday, October 18, 2007. The concept is simple - on one night, theaters across the country will set aside a portion of their tickets to be reserved by patrons who have never been to that theater before - absolutely free.
Last year, theatres from Boston to Los Angeles and Atlanta to Seattle opened their doors to more than 35,000 theatregoers free of charge. The Free Night of Theater 2006 program made 35,627 tickets available to 522 performances at 387 participating theatres in 16 cities from coast to coast.
The 2007 campaign debuts on October 18, 2007 and is being produced in Atlanta , Austin , Boise , Cincinnati , Cleveland , the state of Connecticut , Indianapolis , Kansas City , Lexington , Los Angeles , the state of New Jersey , the state of North Carolina , Oregon (in Ashland and Eugene ), Philadelphia , Sacramento , San Diego , San Francisco , Seattle/Greater Puget Sound , South Carolina / Charleston , states represented by Southeastern Theatre Conference ( Alabama, Louisiana and Florida ), Utah, Washington D.C . and the state of Wisconsin.Although tickets are free, it is necessary to reserve them online. In most locations, tickets can be reserved starting October 1.
