About Me

Pietro Bertini aka DJ OUTWORK started his career at the end of the ‘80’s gradually making a name for himself in Italy by touring the Italian clubscene from north to south, from 1994 he was contacted by Pioneer for all their key promotional events and demonstrations for their DJ Equipment.
By this time he was already getting involved in producing some of his own stuff and his unique Elektro sound, heavily influenced with his italo disco background, soon brought the first requests for remixes. Both under his own name and various pseudonymous he worked on “Summer Jam” by Underdog Project, “Soul Sisters Soul Brothers” by Duke and more recently remixes for Rivera Project “Some Kind of Heaven” and DB Boulevard. As his DJ career evolved, he started playing his first international venues and within no time he was playing some of Europe’s most renound clubs – Queen , Paris – Pacha, Ibiza – Oxa, Zurich - Amnesia, Marocco etc. Finally he hit all the major club charts with his own project “Elektro” by Outwork feat. Mr Gee.
The track was originally released in 4 different versions and later enriched by a phenomenal remix package with versions by Robbie Rivera, Cube Guys, Joey Negro and Scott Wozniak. Within no time it was featuring on the playlists of Bob Sinclair, Roger Sanchez, Eric Morillo etc and consequently released all over the world. In May 2007, “Out of Time”, the much awaited new single by Outwork was released. This new work was the result of all the emotions that Pietro gathered from the dance floor during his world tour of the clubs, a total of 114 gigs in one year.
The single initially released as an instrumental version was followed later in September by a vocal version. At the end of September 2007, Pietro collaborated on a new project – Alp vs Outwork. ALP is the artistic name of a Colombian horn player who Pietro met whilst playing in Bogota. The result from this collaboration between Alp, Outwork and vocals by Glen White was “Fiesta Elektronika” a quirky ethnic electro track which immediately touched the spot for many DJ’s, starting a great buzz. So much buzz that Melodica decided to invest in a really original and innovative video that really works with the ethic theme of the track. January also marked the beginning for the new single by Outwork – and based on the much loved sound of the first single “Elektro”, the Melodica team presented the new single “Thank God For Music” at Midem where the initial feedback was fantastic.
It looks like its going to be another big one. Are you all ready to relive the magical atmosphere on the dance floor… Para pa pa?? Pietro is concluding his world tour and the promotion for the new single is already underway. Currently Pietro Bertini still cooperates with the X-SIDE STUDIO in Treviso but lives with his wife Denise and his daughter Melissa in the Udine area, where he has created his own studio where he prepares his own DJ SETS and experiments with new productions.
