Jeff Smart and his crew have been the driving force for Jungle and Drum&Bass in Dresden for nearly the last 15 years. As one of the first in Dresden Jeff Smart started promoting Jungle parties in 94, later in 96 he founded the "Unity Of Underground", a base for monthly Drum&Bass events in the legendary Zerma club. After the closing of Zerma and a following short time-out he originated Kingbeatz in December 99. After a couple of parties in several locations the Kingbeatzclub setteled down at the well-known venue Industriegel..nde Str. E. Kingbeatz presented Germanies best national artists like Giana Brotherz, Panacea or Bassface Sascha but also international acts like DJ Storm, Aphrodite, Doc Scoot, Grooveraider, Fabio, Raiden, Teebee, Marcus Intalex, Subfocus, John B, nicky Blackmarket, L Double, Total Science, Black Sun Empire and many more. During all the years the crew and its head Jeff Smart have formed the typicall Dresden sound which could be described as technoid progressive. Beside being Kingbeatzs resident Jeff Smart is frequently booked amoung whole germany and europe.
