Child Of The Beat...

About Me

I was born on November 15th, 1981, in St. Louis, MO. In high school I was really into Hip Hop and actually produced many lo-fi tapes for my friends and myself and thought I was going to be the next Snoop Dogg. Everyone has their awkward stage, and as I was finishing high school I fell in love with electronic music after a friend of mine, Jim, dragged me to Club Liquid in St. Louis for my first adventure with E. All of us who are and who have been ravers remember what that first night (or day) was like. This was back in 2000 (can anyone say Alice Deejay?). I went off to college in New Orleans to study music business, started raving at Club 735 and at the State Palace Theater (glorified in the movie Rise – the story of rave outlaw Disco Donnie). I got my first set of turntables and CDJ’s in 2001 and was spinning all sorts of EDM, really trying to find my niche. My favorite “genres” of EDM were Trance, Drum and Bass, Hard House, and Happy Hardcore… yes kind of scary… I played my first party in 2002 on a warm summer evening and fell in love with making people dance. I took my DJ name from this night.. I continued to play a few house parties and gigs around New Orleans, but before I knew it, in 2004, I moved back to St. Louis. I moved to Nashville in February of 2005 and have been here ever since, spinning progressive house, trance, electro, and some tech-house. As long as the music moves me and continues to inspire me I will be spinning it- whether for 2 people or two hundred. I’ve been playing out in Nashville for about a year now, and the pace is picking up. My music is melodic, atmospheric, groove-laden, and driving… I’m not too great at describing my sound, I know that I don’t settle for anything but the best tracks. Don’t expect me to play the top ten. I’m obsessed with music, hopefully it shows in my sets. Myspace Backgrounds
