I'd like to meet:
Let me spell this out for you. Don't bother requesting an add from me if you are not a band from the midwest. If you know someone that I know, email me and let me know. thanks.
Really smart people who make dumb spelling errors.
I met a million John Steeds all along the way, but I think I finally found my Peter Peel.
I want to meet the Doctor/Scientist who saved my lungs and throat by inventing this:
I really want to meet Barack Obama. He said this..."The pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats," he said. "But I've got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the Blue States, and we don't like federal agents poking around our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and have gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and patriots who supported it. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America."
He also said this in response to the nomination of John Roberts:
""The problem I had is that when I examined Judge Roberts' record and history of public service, it is my personal estimation that he has far more often used his formidable skills on behalf of the strong in opposition to the weak."
"In his work in the White House and the Solicitor General's Office, he seemed to have consistently sided with those who were dismissive of efforts to eradicate the remnants of racial discrimination in our political process. In these same positions, he seemed dismissive of the concerns that it is harder to make it in this world and in this economy when you are a woman rather than a man...."The bottom line is this: I will be voting against John Roberts' nomination."2
In Kenya last week, Barack said this, "'In the end," he said, "if the people cannot trust the government to do the job for which it exists--to protect them and to promote their common welfare--all else is lost. You will decide if your leaders will be held accountable, or if you will look the other way.'"I love him for all time.

Heroes:
My Grandma, and My Mom. or the Myth of my Mom.
Strong, smart and fearless. In the Myth of My Mother, she was the first girl to wear blue jeans to Hersey High School. When they sent her home, my Grandma drove her back, told the principal that students should only be sent home if they were disrupting the learning process, left her in her classroom and went home to get ready for her night shift as an ICU nurse at Holy Family hosptial. This would have been around 1968-69. These were not women who had time for men who did not measure up. Niether am I.
Mother Teresa is another one of these women. She never could get the funding she needed, and she did what she had to, to do what she needed to. My favorite story of Mother Teresa is the one where the Pope gave her a car, and she set up a charity auction because she would rather walk and have money to feed her flock of followers. That is some personal sacrifice.
Also, I love people who are magical, like Bjork, and Robert Smith. and Kim Gordon. and Ani DiFranco.
