About Me

life's the same i'm moving in stereo life's the same except for my shoes life's the same you're shaking like tremolo life's the same it's all inside youit's so easy to blow up your problems it's so easy to play up your breakdown it's so easy to fly through a window it's so easy to fool with the soundit's so tough to get up it's so tough it's so tough to live up it's so tough on you

My Interests

Biking, hockey, football, baseball, softball, movies, music, sex, beer, Guinness, beer, the finest single-malt scotch whiskey(there can be only one, highlander!), bowling, darts, pool, pinball, board games, and poker. The people who impress me are the ones who tell me a long, rambling story that ends with "and that's how I got [fill in the blank] tattoed on my ass."

I'd like to meet:

People I can joke with endlessly who'll have a sense of humor about it. People who are Amish. People who don't watch Friends. People who drink. People who smoke. People who stay out too late. People who get up too early. People who can have an intelligent conversation while bowling and drinking simultaneously. Lesbians who want to rub my bald head. People who can appreciate a man in a kilt. Good people. Bad people. People who will entertain me.

Music:

Johnny Cash, the Beatles, the Clash, Frank Zappa, Smog, Soul Coughing, Walt Mink, Warren Zevon, TMBG, the Pogues, Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, Liz Phair, Great Big Sea, Primus, Beastie Boys, the Ramones, Beck, Dead Kennedys, Morphine, Ween, Matthew Sweet, Dead Milkmen, Sly and the Family Stone, Mozart, the Police, Aerosmith, Turin Brakes, Roger Miller, Mike Doughty, Dressy Bessy, Terminal Bliss, Teegan and Sarah, Deal's Gone Bad, Urge Overkill, Shaggy, Yes, Hank Williams(SENIOR), Public Enemy... The list goes on and on, and gets weirder and weirder.

Movies:

All-time, hands down favorite movie: Dr. Strangelove, Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. Also in my collection: Airplane!, M*A*S*H, Requiem for a Dream, the Snapper, Trainspotting, War Games, Stripes, This is Spinal Tap, Highlander, Blade Runner, Young Frankenstein, Apocalypse Now, Three Amigos, Yellow Submarine, Paths of Glory, Office Space, Baseketball, The Shining, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Blazing Saddles, Dogma, Freejack, Pretty in Pink, Spies Like Us, Casablanca, Slap Shot, Shallow Grave, Say Anything, Resevoir Dogs, the Time Machine(original), Tron, Chasing Amy, The Serpent and the Rainbow, Star Wars and Star Trek(the nerd inside me), Some Kind of Wonderful... Again, the list goes on and on, includes far too many 80's, sci-fi, classic, and comedy movies.

Television:

Simpsons, the Young Ones, Simpsons, er, and the Simpsons. Did I mention the Simpsons?

Books:

I read an absurd amount of Kurt Vonnegut books, frequently reading each one several times. My all time favorite is Slapstick. I read Douglas Adams the same way. I tend to like things that are in English, but that hasn't stopped me from trying other things as well.

Heroes:

Johnny Cash, John Lennon, Herb Brooks, Joe Strummer, Mark Sandman, Wendell Young, Kirby Puckett, and my dad. How could I forget LEEROY JENKINS!
