Teche- From French ---The band was born when Josh invited Aijia to his house for a jazz jam session with a bunch of his fellow musicians. Needless to say the evening was eventful and they decided to get a couple of more people in the mix to work on some original stuff. Brian found his way to the group by way of CSUN Jazz, then shortly after Drew made his way to Josh's house for practice and the band came to be.After a few rehearsals, and a lot of PAPAS AND BEER, Drew booked a show at The Temple Bar in Santa Monica. It was agreed that the group was not quite ready for the premiere and it was concluded that a good weeks worth of practice was needed to prepare.Aijia's family has a house in Louisiana on The Bayou Teche, and she proposed a trip to the town of New Iberia to visit the south and get ready for the show. After long consideration and limited funds, the concensus was that Louisiana was kind of far away......the rehearsals would go down in L.A. In honor of the week long preparation and the first serious time the group spent together, the band was named TECHE. The End Myspace Graphics
