About Me

I am a writer and an editor. That makes me observant, attentive to detail, naturally inquisitive and perpetually looking for assignments. Please do a Web search on my name and check out some of my work.

My Interests

I love the opportunity to interact with fascinating people and sometimes tell their stories in my articles.

I'd like to meet:

One of the benefits of being a journalist is you can often angle your way into meeting people who pique your interest. I've been on a pretty good roll, although Dave Annable's publicist wouldn't set up a 10-minute telephone interview, which kind of sucked. Still holding out hope to get an assignment to interview Shia LaBeouf, but considering he's been on the cover of Vanity Fair twice his publicist is probably very picky. In the mean time, I highly recommend his films Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and Disturbia.

Music:

My tastes are kind of old school. Although I do also love Beyonce and Justin Timberlake.

Movies:

My favorite movie of all time is "Ordinary People." I find the imagery so stark. It conveys the emotions of the characters before they even speak.

Television:

I was a total TV junkie as a kid, but only a few things get me to turn on the tube these days. The writers strike deprived me of even those few shows, but hopefully some will be back soon. I am looking forward to the new season of Dancing with the Stars in March.

Books:

I recently read The Ditchdigger's Daughters by Dr. Yvonne S. Thornton. It was an amazing and inspiriing real life story.

Heroes:

Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Madeleine Albright and I'm sure I'll come up with more.
