Bixby Says...Relax!!

About Me

I’m originally from one of the coldest and foggiest chunks of granite on the planet; Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. Born and raised.
I'm a Heinz 57...look that up if you don't know what it means.
I have 3 younger brothers and for those of you wondering; yes my mom did go prematurely grey.
I have been into Punk Rock since 1980. My cousin had a friend who went to parochial school in New York State and every vacation before coming home he would stop in NYC and pick up music. On one particular trip back home he came with a fist full of Punk Rock records. That was it for me. The begining of a life time love affair, I was in hook-line and sinker.
Two of my brothers have followed my footsteps and have been listening to Punk Rock since they were little kids.
I sang in a band called ‘Early Warning Syndrome’ in the mid 80’s
I’ve seen a lot of bands come and go, trends and the evolution of my beloved scene into a fast food commodity. I know that some of my compatriots from back in the day are still floating around out there, so if you remember the 80's scene, I want to hear from you!
A little more about me:
1993 - 2000 I rocked the mic on my Punk Rock radio show called 'The Small Hours' on CKDU 97.5 FM.
I was Program Director of the same station from 1997 - 2000.
I have been living in California since 2000.
I am divorced and the proud daddy of a 5 year old daughter.

Buddy...can you spare $1900?

I love classic pinball machines! I don't care much for the modern ones that have more levels than a D&D game and tons of distractions. Just the basic bumper and bells design. Sometimes simplicity ...
