A couple of "Silly Little Quizzes". I do these things. They are like hard candy to me. I just have to have one more. So...this is how my mind works. Actually this is pretty tame. I am alot weirder most of the time.:
1. Hi, my name is...
Kristy but I will answer to anything nice.
2. Never in my life have I been...
addicted to anything. Except Tetris. And music. And really good books. And those fattening little BBQ burritos that you get in any mini mart fast food section.
3. The one thing that can drive me nuts is...
when I am playing Tetris and I keep getting all the wrong pieces. It is so hard for me to give up, cut my losses, and put the wrong piece in the right spot and sometimes I am stubborn enough to wait until it's way too high to give in and do that. Do you wonder what the hell I am talking about? Then you have never been addicted to Tetris.
4. High school...
was miserable for the most part. I was a dork! But I thought I was just shy.
5. When I'm nervous...
I just push forward, pretending that I am not nervous.
6. The last time I cried was...
right before I found out I needed surgery. I felt like I was the the bottom of a drain and someone had just turned on the faucet. I was overwhelmed.
7. If I were to get married right now, my best man/maid of honor would be...
someone in the same kind of straight jacket I would obviously be wearing. Probably with lime jello in her hair and a little drool on her chin.
8. My hair is...
in need of a few strokes. "Stroke me, stroke me!" Billy Squier Think that's what he was talking about?
9. When I was 5...
I was heartbroken when my grandparents moved away and left me behind. My first trauma. 16 years later I followed them.
10. Last Christmas...
things were relaxing and calm with the family and I had a new romance brewing. By New Years I was pretty much done with that. All of it. Calm over and boyfriend pushed away. Aren't the holidays lovely?
11. I should be...
putting my laundry away. But I don't wanna.
12. When i look down i see...
way too much cleavage for polite company but fine considering I am alone in my room in my pajamas, and my lap, and my laptop.
13. The happiest recent event was....
dinner at Red Lobster with all 3 kids for my son's birthday. Although the waitress was annoyingly persistant and borderline obnoxious.
14. If I were a character on "Grey's Anatomy" I'd be...
Meredith, the one who doesn't know what the hell she is doing from one moment to the next. (Oh, and she is doing McDreamy which is on the plus side.)
15. Hopefully by this time next year....
I will have figured some things out romantically and will be 15 pounds lighter and have alot more money. Hey, you said 'hopefully'. I can hope if I want to!
16. My current gripe is...
that I don't know what I am doing tomorrow!!
17. I have a hard time understanding...
how my mind works and why I sabotage myself the way I do.
19. You know I like you when...
I punch you in the arm and run away. I will know you feel the same when you dip my pigtail into the inkwell.
20. If I won an award, the first person I would tell would be...
my family and of course, the media.
21. Take my advice...
you don't want to piss off the guy who is cooking your burger.
Also:
Certain things (potatoes, jelly jars, cell phones on vibrate) do not belong in your rectal parts. Ever.
And:
Something I have learned in my new job in the medical field--it is impossible to spell out the word "pus" in the plural form without it looking funny on paper. As in, "Was it pussy?"
22. Something that I really want to buy is...
a winning lottery ticket.
23. If you visited the place I was born...
as it was in the era I was born you would have smelled orange blossoms!! It was a heavenly scent!
24. I plan to visit...
Scotland and Italy. And Hawaii. And I wanna do Vegas sometime soon too! As I final destination I plan to end up in Heaven. (But that's when I am really old but BEFORE I start peeing on myself and asking my kids if we have met before.)
25. If you spend the night at my house...
you will find it a little crowded. Suspicious dogs will be barking at you and my 2 sons will have some questions for you.

With my mom, it's about the amount of crap she brings into the house. My freezer is too full for a single ice cube yet she keeps dragging stuff in. (My mom lives with me)
With my dad, it generally has something to do with my kids. He thinks I should wrap them in bubble wrap and set them on a shelf. I think they should be allowed to experience life with reasonable limits.
65. Are you a gullible person?
I guess I am. I didn't used to think so. I guess if I really WANT to believe something then I do. My first instinct is to believe what someone tells me.
66. Do you need a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy?
No but it might help brighten the world a bit. I am willing to give it a shot. Wanna be my boyfriend?
67. If you could have any job (assuming you have the skills) what would it be?
I'd own my own coffee shop and bookstore with a funky little gift shop included. Or would write books. Those are my 2 dreams.
68. Are you easy to get along with?
I think so. I don't seem to repell anyone.
69. What is your favorite time of day?

I have really gotten into digital photography lately. I used to be all about film but this digital thing has really opened up a whole new world for me. I love the 'instant gratification' of it all. I love being able to tweak the photos to make them interesting or different. Check out my photo section to see what I mean by that. There are some of my fave 'tweaked' photos in the middle of it all.
I'd like to meet:
I believe in faeries and family and God and some roundabout path to a slightly watered down version of happily ever after that allows for human frailties...
It's always nice to meet others who believe too!

Awesome quote that was copied with permission from another 'Myspacer'.
It is regarding....LOVE!!
"I think love is too powerful for a shopping list of wants; love doesn’t care what we want or don’t want, it just finds us and kicks our asses with its magnificence. And, if we are brave enough to go along for the ride, love challenges us everyday with our abilities to communicate, compromise and honor. Are these qualities we can find through an application process, or rather are they qualities that grow from a sharing of minds, hearts and souls?"
I would LOVE for love to 'kick my ass' with its magnificence. So if I am looking for something, I guess that would be it!
Life is Short. Kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.

Television:
My favorite show is "Grey's Anatomy". I like "Lost" as well. Old time faves are "Sex and the City" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" which never fails to amuse me. Also love reruns of "I Love Lucy", "Friends", and "Seinfeld".
Books:
My favorite author is Diana Gabaldon. She is an amazing writer and never fails to take me away into her world. Out of all of her books, my absolute fave is her first, "Outlander". Jamie Fraser is my favorite 'Imaginary Man' and always will be!
I also like Nora Roberts and Dean Koontz. I adore anything by L.M. Montgomery. There is a total innocence in her writing and characters. If you never read the Anne of Green Gables series or the 'Pat' books or the Emily of New Moon trio as a child, then do it now! I still pick up one of her books when the world feels too harsh and I want to feel peace and innocence again.
If you would like to see some beautiful photos then click on the banner below and check out Daniel James page. My friend Lindsay just had her photos taken by him and OMG....amazing!!

Heroes:
A hero: Anyone who takes the time out of their lives to show love to their fellow man, woman, or child is a hero in my book. A kind word goes a long long way and the effect trickles down. And God bless those who serve in the military!!
My kids make me want to live a life they will respect.
