My name is Rachael. I'm interested in and obsess over obtuse things that make others roll their eyes. I shave my legs with hair conditioner. I love and secretly fear my cat - you would too. I have never partied like it's 1999, and I don't know if I ever will. The Burger King guy creeps me out to no end. I'm fascinated with tattoos and yet I don't have any. (I will have at least one someday, though. Scouts honor!) I have never been a girl scout. My husband is my best friend. I have a fetish for books, purses and shoes, although the only one I actually indulge in often is the books. I have feet envy. I fill out bulletin surveys like there's no tomorrow. I hope there's a tomorrow. I make a mean chicken parmesan and my Betty Crocker fudge brownies kick ass. I will never be a professional sky-diver, jogger, runway model or politician. I have always and will forever have cat hair on my clothes, even if they are brand new and worn right out of the plastic packing bag. I love Harry Potter books and if you have a problem with that, you can go suck it. My best gal-pal (Alex) introduced me to buttery nipples and they are d-licious. Now get your mind out of the gutter, perv. My favorite cartoon as a kid was Darkwing Duck; now it's South Park. I hate mayo, mustard and anything pickled. I have issues with salads. I own over 50 books that I still have yet to read. My nickname as a child was (and sometimes still is) Monkey Butt. Yup, that's me. Now who the hell are you?

Reading, writing, drawing, painting, blogging, cooking, eating, arts & crafts, needlepoint, photographs, movies, music, my VW bug, family, my hubby, my neurotic cat, San Diego, Las Vegas, Disneyland, Arizona, New York, poetry, short stories, unusual names for story characters, intriguing titles for books/movies/music, quotes, snuggling, Lane Bryant, Torrid, Barnes & Noble, World Market, Michael's, ULTA, nice places with good grub, Amazon.com, YouTube.com, avoiding ignorance, stupidity and political parties, embracing my bitch-hood, and maintaining an over-all appearance of knowing what I am doing, despite the obvious fact that I don't.

by Jennifer Crusie
(Great read. Very funny and addicting.)

"Goodnight Nobody"
by Jennifer Weiner
(A decent read. I found myself getting lost in trying to keep up with all the different characters, but otherwise still a good story.)

I am currently reading:
"I Am Not Myself These Days"
by Josh Kilmer-Purcell
(It's pretty interesting. The life of an alcoholic drag queen with fish globe boobs is an intriguing thing. lol.)

Heroes:

Allen inspires me with his actions, and he makes me want to be a better woman....
My mother and sister taught me that nothing in this world is certain and that mistakes are lessons that need to be learned....
Alex guides by example, but insists upon originality....
Jill reminds me that it's important to remember the sun when you're standing in the middle of a storm....
Nila makes me appreciate where I am and how far I've come....
Christina is Wonder Woman, minus the lasso....
Louise made me feel like family before I ever knew I was. Now she's our guardian angel.
