About Me

Harijan started out as a three piece about 4 years ago. From that time to the present we have slowly built up our membership from a very close (but absolutely talentless) group of friends, and plan on continuing to increase its numbers over the coming months/years. Harijan are a slice of a huge bunch of mates first and foremost and are nothing but a reflection and an outlet of this.It was while we were all into punk, metal and rock and attending more mainstream kind of gigs that we got into bands like King Prawn and Capdown. The energy and power of these bands blew us away and introduced us to a style of music that was alien to us. That style that is dictated by the off-beat.From here we mustered up our own brand of skacore fusing punk, rock, ska, hardcore, dancehall, metal, dub, reggae and ragga. We like to have a skank. thats pretty much all there is to know. We like mind altering substances and books by Lenin. We smoke too much weed to give a shit and we have arguments about our continually disorganised nature. Come check us out, for a piss-up if nothing else. Luv and Dub Motherfuckers xxx
