Charismatic Megafauna Running Wild and Free

About Me

Boy, we sure do like to play rock and roll music.

Flatfoot formed in East Lansing during the fall of 2000 by brothers Aaron and Jason Bales. We play rock and roll with some twang, pop sensibilities and punk energy.

"lately, live Flatfoot has been all about out-rocking the competition knees and elbows flailing wildly and somebody (it doesnt seem to matter who) howling a campfire tale gone wrong into the microphone." Cale Sauter, Lansing City Pulse.

Are we worth it?/ Tom's return

Sometimes when I'm telling people about an upcoming show, I wonder "is it worth it?"  Not for me, but for them.  Why should people pay money to see us? It's easy to form a band.&nb...

Jon Spencer opened for us? (best shows ever?)

Well! We just had a fantastic string of shows - thank you so much for making this one of the best weeks ever for the band. Dylanfest last Friday was a ton of fun.  So many good bands (and so smoo...

Robbie/ Marah/ Soul Asylum (for Cale)

Robbie Fulks was great.  Again.  Just tore up the Temple, despite the crap weather.  Again.  I love playing with a band that tight/ talented.  And he still looks like the acto...

New music, big shows, face fur.

Why not blog more?  I heard it's all the rage. Last Thursday I think we were the most bearded band in Lansing.  Especially with Jeremy "Kurt Cobain" Wiggins leading the way.  Yes! Fire ...

The Rev. was right

Well, the Rev. Horton Heat was right.  I thought he was lying when he said the word was "corndogs", not "pornos" in Loco Gringos Like To Party.  I was sure of it! But he is The Rev.  A...
