I hate writing these things because, essentially, I don’t like to talk about myself. I like to talk about the things I do and have done; the fairly substantial travel I have undertaken in my life, the clubs and gigs I go to, the things I like to do with my friends. I like to write short fiction and that’s why I had a look at this site in the first place as I would like somewhere to host my work for viewing (not that this particular site is any good for that purpose it looked good enough to set up a little something anyway). The fiction I write is mainly vampire horror but I also like to write fantasy and sci-fi and often throw in a bit of erotica at the same time for good measure.
I can be very extrovert, sometimes outrageous and this is probably why I love to do the vampire thing so much. The me-vampire has more confidence and is far more outrageous than the usual me and I enjoy to donning this mantle for suitable events. I would like to say that I am articulate and creative, having also undertaken a little graphic design in my time and designed some clothing (the bondage body armour in the pictures section and the sleeveless leather top are my designs).
I am most attracted to people who speak well and, generally, instantly hate people who use terms like ‘innit’ all the time or so lard their conversation with profanity that it is instantly apparent that they actually have nothing to say. Not that I mind bad language but it should be used sparingly, both written and verbally, if it is going to retain any impact.
However, I’m not always the social creature. I do have a tendency to appear surly and uncommunicative when at loud social events and this is simply because I find any meaningful conversation quite impossible. I also do this in self-defence, so I don’t wake up the next morning (afternoon) hoarse and with my ears ringing from people shouting at the top of their voices right next to my ear. I also sometimes drift off into my own world, in my own thoughts…sorry, what was I saying there.
I have travelled and holidayed in a wide variety of destinations including Jamaica, Thailand, Hong Kong, Bali, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Borneo, Indonesia, Egypt and most recently Romania/Transylvania. I still want to walk to Inca Trail and along the Great Wall of China and many other things besides.
I would say that I live alternately a cursed and blessed existence. I am fairly lucky in affairs of the heart and pretty unlucky with employment. As for work, I’ve worked for 16 years of my life in many roles but I should say that I’ve only been constructively employed for less than a third of that total. That said I’ve generally always had the money to do the things I wanted so it can’t all be bad. I presently work as a Digital Services Specialist; something that I find that fairly enjoyable, as it demands good IT skills, a knowledge of various machinery and generally keeps me fit
Ill finish off with my favourite quote: “We were born individuals so why aspire to be sheep.”
Thanks for your interest. D X ;-)=
