I do everything I like

About Me

I am a modeling agent and I primarily use this page to deficate out all of the surreal, excruciating, and deteriorating things going on in the industry, Chicago being deficated on/about mostly.

I have a blog which explains all of this. I started it a few months ago in order to provide a mixture of, what I hope, is funny, informative, aggressive and often silly. It's mainly about my experiences as being a modeling agent and dealing with models, clients, photographers, bookings, etc...There's even a bit of office politics thrown in there for that catty edge.

Read on Blogger too!

I have no idea how I fell into this business, as I will often say, but I'm in love with what I've seen, and at the same time I have been terrified at the dreadful beauty in this world.

I have a love for all things beautiful, and this is certainly not limited to people. My grandfather was a dressmaker in 1950's & 1960's New York, and although I'm not a designer, I like to think I'm following in his fashion footsteps. His work has inspired me to think independently, cherish each garment I own, and to revel in the glory of a woman's elegance.

My agency works with models all over North America. When I joined as a booker, they had a database of models from their past ten years. They've provided me with opportunities to pursue my own interest within the fashion/modeling industry, and because of this I've developed great relationships with people, and my life has gained noted momentum.

My Interests

black blazers, Michael Kors boots, Gericault, falafel

ceramics, jogging, brunch, Stephen Crane, prescriptions, love, Bottega Veneta dresses

red lipstick

I'd like to meet:

This is very vague; vagueness bothers me. I will say, then, that I'd like to meet Bobby Kennedy. He's the cutest superhero I know.

In non-real life terms, I'd like to meet or "be friends" with people who are creative, business-minded and mature. People who know how to relax. People who communicate with ease and grace.

Simplicity is not always a bad thing.

I'm fuming right now. I truly believe this country has a one-sided, narrow-minded view of beauty. They all want the same thing: caucasian females with blonde hair. I don't understand this.Right now, I...
