Violet Catastrophy is my solo project. Music is a huge part of my life and I love to create new songs! I adore Riotgrrrl and Kinderwhore and 1990's early grunge. I love music from 1960 as well: The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Velvet Underground. I love to write songs and lyrics about the things I feel most strongly about.
I love kinderwhore fashion, kid's jewellery, baby barrettes, dresses and thrift store finds.
Music is my great passion. I love to sing, adore playing my guitar and writing poetry/lyrics. I think words are so strong and can hold so much more power than actions. I like to be individual and do not care if my taste does not conform to the norm!
I respect Kurt Cobain for drawing me into grunge and Courtney Love and Kat Bjelland for everything they did for women in rock. I love the rawness of John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and Lou Reed. I love tiaras and glitter, dolls and angels and the work of Sylvia Plath and Edgar Allan Poe.
