Radical, Overcomer, Agent for Change. These are just a few words to describe Min. Walter L. Brooks,Jr.(A.K.A. J.R.) Born and raised in Chicago, Walter first started playing the drums at age 3. By age 12 he was playing the saxophone and attending the London School of Music. Hearing the voice of the Lord in 1997 during a prayer meeting, he began playing piano. At that moment Walter realized that God's hand was on his life as the Lord began teaching him how to play and hear the sounds of heaven. God has given him the annointing to reach out to young people not only in music but in word, so that they too can come to know Jesus for themselves. A God appointed and annointed minstrel whose goal in life is to preach and teach God's word so that all people may come to know Jesus, while producing and writing music to reach the lost.
