Troupe Zahava

Springfield's Bellydance Collective

About Me

Troupe Zahava is a Middle-Eastern Dance Company based in Springfield, Illinois. Founded in 1998 by director Karida Zahava (Kari Dotson), performance styles include a wide variety, from traditional Arabic group dances to modern Egyptian "bellydance" solos to American Tribal and Tribal Fusion. Troupe Zahava performs each summer at the Jubilee College Olde English Faire, annually sponsors a workshop and showcase of Middle-Eastern dance, and has appeared in other stage presentations throughout the midwest.
