Reverend Mark T. Williams became pastor of The House of Refuge Church in September of 1985, but has been actively serving in ministry since 1978. A native of Rockford, he was born September 12, 1960, and received the Lord in December of 1975. He was Spirit-filled in November of 1976, and accepted the call to preach in April of 1978.On August 4, 1979, he married his wife Vanessa. They serve side by side in the ministry at The House of Refuge and in other churches as they teach, preach and minister healing. As a result, people are being saved, healed, and set free from bondages by the power of God. They have two sons, Philip (and Tara) Williams and Stephen (and Caprisha) Williams, as well as two grandchildren--Nia, the daughter of Philip and Tara, and Stephen Moses, the son of Stephen and CaprishaA 1984 graduate of RHEMA Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Reverend Williams has served the Lord faithfully as a teacher, preacher, minister and pastor. He is anointed to explain the Bible simply and powerfully, and the Lord has opened doors for him to minister not only in the greater Rockford area, but around the country and around the world.Over the years, Reverend Williams has been involved in various community functions and organizations. He is also involved in the process of reaching out to and assisting other pastors, churches and community organizations to empower, equip and develop their leaders and volunteers. Reverend Mark Williams is man of God. He ministers and leads with a strength, grace, excellence and integrity that are noted by all who encounter him. His heart and passion are for the Lord, God's people, and the vision He has given to the Banner Of Truth International—to spread the gospel in urban and rural churches in North America and around the world— To furthur advance the call of God to help pastors to evangelize the world and nurture and lead their local churches, Reverend Mark T. Williams has entrusted the pastoral ministry of The House Of Refuge Church to Pastor John Evans. The transition has resulted in the ability to multiply ministry and more effectively utilize the gifts of God entrusted to Reverend and Mrs. Mark Williams. This transition has also enabled Reverend Williams to focus more on the vision of Banner Of Truth International and the ministry of the Word and prayer, and as a result, there is an increase in the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To contact Reverend Mark Williams for speaking engagements at your church or conference, call 815-986-6946http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/LTOMinist ry/BannerofTruthFlyer.jpg

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet many church planters, home and foriegn missionaries and pastors of emerging churches who have vision from God for impacting the world with the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.I want to see Jesus face to face, and hear Him say "Well done my good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy of your LORD!"

Movies:

I Like to watch old classic movies with my wife, Vanessa.

Television:

I like police shows and westerns like...,Gunsmoke, Law and Order, Dragnet, Hawaii Five O, Texas Walker Ranger and Columbo

Books:

My favorite book is a collection of 66 books called the Bible. These books if read daily will change the life of any person who believes the message of Jesus Christ found in its pages!

Heroes:

My Hero is the Lord Jesus Christ, Because took my sin, diseases and my poverty. He bore it all in His death, on the cross. He suffered in my place. He rose again from the dead to make me right with God. He healed me from sickness and depression. He delivered me from drug addiction. He set me free from a life of poverty. He has given me a wonderful wife and family! He has given me the best job on planet earth. That is to tell other people about Him. So that He may become their Hero too!
