Sounds Like: "Smoke" project is borned in the September 2004, from the not chance meeting of three musicians: Alessandro Soresini (drum,voice,percussion, production), Gianluca Pelosi (bass, production) and Marco Zaghi (sax, flutes, production), that already had military in band of relief what REGGAE NATIONAL TICKETS, NEFFA, 88TASTI, RADICAL STAFF, ZOE. ... Strong of the experiences passed in Jamaica and in Europe, theyve decided to realize the homonymous disk. The melodies and the texts of Andrew Hailard aka Drew Love from New York, already voice of the Radical Staff and that brags prestigious collaborations with Italian artists like IRENE GRANDI, ALMAMEGRETTA, RNT and other, complete the sound and the originality that characterize this work. Musicians of large prestige participated in the accomplishment of the project, like: Patrick Benifei, keyboard, voice, backing voice (Casino Royale, Blue Beaters, Neffa, Rnt) beyond to have played most of the tracks, composed and sung Make it grow; Eggy Vezzano, guitarist (Andy J Forest, Tony Green, Sonnie Rhodes, Beverly Watson); Fabio Merigo, guitarist (Rnt, Blue Beaters, Mr Tbone, Tricarico); Gianca Jacono, hammond, piano (Hartur Miles,Quite Turner, Murva Wright).Another element that characterizes the project is the participation of international guest: from Germany Zoe, relief reggae artist, wrote text and lyric of Ciao Amore; from Jamaica Raymond Wrigth, collaborated for the drawing up of Jah Love. from Jamaica Blessed, wrote texts and lyric of Dem a chat and Rock with me from Jamaica Alborosie aka Stena, (Alberto D'Ascola, voice of the Reggae National Tickets) composed Angel and played guitars, keyboards and produced the shouting of Blessed; the whole album was mixed at the GEEJAM STUDO in Jamaica by Alborosie and Andrew Seidel (from Germany/NY) . Smoke so has obtained a mixture of sounds and riddim: from the reggae roots to the soul, from the blues return to the reggae: sweet and sensual song leave space also to committed tracks.
