Umax fall in love with electronic scene back in 1997 as a 'first time' visitor of infamous slovenian
club Ambasada Gavioli, where in that time there was leading electronic-music nights in country. In those days the scene
was something new&fresh, something that he had never experianced before and he instantly got hooked.
After listening&watching various dj's, he started to understand and admire the beauty of being a DJ, as a
'one-man-band'. He bought himself the equipment and started experimenting & developing his skills.
As vinyl was too expensive for a student budget, he started spinning CDs at first. But after a few months of mixing
various sets, he couldn't resist the call and bought himself a pair of vinyl decks at last.
The hence is, that the technical flow of music industry puts him back, infront of cd-decks:)!
Currently the sound that he is spinning is deep, tech, electro, smooth and sometimes floating feeling
of progressive house.The names like Omid16b, Can Costa, Shafunkers, Blendbrank, Bart Van Wissen, Wize, Ame,
An-2, Stan Kolev, Hernan Cerbello, Harry Peat, Martinez, Francois Dubois, Spirit Catcher + many others spell it out just fine.
Umax has shared booths with renowned local and international djs such as Anthony Pappa, Silicone soul, SWAG, Tony Hewitt,
Ricky Ryan, Dave Storm, Eddie F, Umek, dj Krizs, Qualia, Valentino Kanziyani, Aleksij, dj Bizzy ...
The places of the events were SubSub, K4, Heaven, Club Lipa, Liberity, Mediapark, FF ...
Umax recently finshed the audio-engineer course on SAE Institute and is now working as co-operating engineer in
comercial recording studio. He has now also focused on his own production & editing of tunes to suite his style.
