About Me

I am 47 years old and enjoy life. I enjoy going out and dressing up as much as staying home and cooking with someone special or friends. I love wine...love beer depending on mood and the company I am keeping. I enjoy doing my art work more than anything. Even though I don't do it enough it sustains me and keeps me calm. I just want to paint...create. Im tired of working so hard. I did my first oil painting when I was 10. I use to love to watch my Dad (my teacher) paint. I loved the smells of his wooden art box. (now I know it was probably toxic.) My goal was to be featured in an art gallery but now.....I just want to be an artist...first and foremost and be happy with what I create. I am at the crossroads of my life and ready to choose a different path. I know I will make the right choice...just watch me. I love reading, cooking, music (almost all kinds) and gardening. I have a beautiful grown daughter and a sweet doggie Sammie. They both mean the world to me. They both stick by me no matter what. I guess that is what you call un-conditional love. :)

Music:

I love most any kind of music (but heavy rap) I tend to lean towards more mellow and mood music, especially while I am doing art work. I love listening to Enya, Dave Matthews, Tori Amos, Jim Brickman, Michael Buble. Then I can also, depening on my mood go more towards music like , Train, The Cranberries, Santana etc.

Movies:

I have so many movies I love....can't begin to list. I just watched The Pride and Prejudice and I LOVED it!!!

Television:

I love old and newer movies. love the cooking channel.

Books:

I love all types of books. I just read the Tristan and Isolde series and now reading~ I Elizabeth. I read every day. Of course I love all my art books too...the instructional ones and the ones featuring other artists. I believe my favorite artist is Maxfield Parrish. I love many artist but I think he influenced me often through the years.

Heroes:

My daughter!! She has been so strong and loving through all the hardships her and I have faced together. Even now that she is grown she gives me strength and courage to do what's right.
