Notorious for its androgynous idiosyncrasy the label which began as a menswear label now moves into its second collection featuring women’s wear. Restinpeace’s Spring Summer 07.08 collection aptly titled “lei baby lei†portrays the very essence of the creative force behind the Melbourne label.Collaborating on smaller projects with Jeans magnate Levi’s and Sydney swimwear label Oceanology and only into their third season, young designers Tom Adair, Patrick Crea and Mark Pereira have already built up a burgeoning relationship with top international and local stockists including Behave London, Dirt Box Brisbane, T.O.Y Surfers Paradise, Dorby Den Sydney and Oki Doki Agency in Scandinavia just to name a few.With background knowledge in graphic design, architecture and graffiti, the boys from Restinpeace with their initiative to create and design have come up with an aesthetic that has not only been coveted by well known Australian acts such as Sneaky Sound System, The Midnight Juggernauts but also by fashion industry insiders and handfuls of other international and local magazine stylists and editors.
