About Me

With alot of Love and a little hard work Code Orange was born over 6 years ago as a reaction to the demand in Sydney for quality threads, footware, eyeware and accesories that give a sense of both substance and style.Code Orange was originaly launched with it's first flagship stores in Sydney's Miranda. One of the first store's of it's kind in Sydney. Thanks to the incredible demand and support of our customers and our labels we were lucky to open our second store in Sydneys sunny Cronulla.Code Orange isn't your average store. Managed and loved by Blake, Menzie and the rest of the gang it offers a unique and refreshing alternative for Sydneys Gals and Boys who want more than mass produced clothing. It's refined expectations of what a boutique should be presenting the best in labels from around the world, as well as showcasing some of Australia's very best. Be careful, kids, cover your eyes! The latest range sees the brand continuing its use of futuristic components while at the same time looking to the recent past for design inspiration. The Summer 2007 line owes much of its distinctive, clean-cut styling to Mod culture, particularly to The Who’s seminal rock-opera Quadrophenia and the sleek lines of the Mods’ beloved Vespas. The broader fashions of the sixties and seventies are another reference point for the collection, a consequence of the designers having spent time rummaging through the borrowed nostalgia of other people’s old photos. The range features intensely bright and vivid colours, sourced from the exotic spectrum of Indian Firework Art. Vishnu and Shiva would be proud, no doubt. Diving further into the past for inspiration, AM Eyewear has looked to the impossibly complex, mathematically driven artwork of Hungarian artist Victor Vasarely. His influence is most evident in the dense, patterning of the frames’ acetate finishes, which give them an amazingly rare degree of detail. AM Eyewear’s fascination with mathematics and science is even more apparent in the label’s choices of materials. The company’s trademark scratch resistant, APX Nylon lenses with AR coating, metal that doesn’t contain zinc to prevent alleges, hand-moulded, acetate frames and spring-loaded hinges continue to offer unparalleled engineering quality. It’s a range that tops off an amazing year for AM Eyewear, which included the brand-playing host to the first large-scale Australia Fashion Week event by an eyewear company, with its party at the Minus 5 Ice palace. The brand’s Summer 2007 range might be casting a glance into the past, but one thing’s for sure: the coming year will once again see all eyes directed firmly in the direction of AM Eyewear. Stay tuned..PETE VS TOBY has been alive now for about a year. The boys like to keep it simple and yes they love the colour. If you like them and are keen to get one of your own then you have to be quick because all of the garments are limited. We continue to hand write every tag... Material Boy pushes menswear out of its comfort zone and those inside and outside the fashion industry continue to admire the label’s originality.Material Boy has seen a meteoric rise in the Australian and international fashion scene. The S06/07 collection continued the theme with the Mario Bros inspired ‘Level 19, Super Material Boy, happy fun land’ glittered pointy boots, more tight jeans with super-low crotches and puffy shorts - all in hyper-real, video game primary colours.Material Boy is now a favourite among Eaton's mates, who include band members of Jet, Gerling, the Casanovas, Children Collide and Faker. For six years, ideas, individuality and authenticity has developed the Australian brand into an underground subculture, a lifestyle, an international presence with a cult following. Dan Single and George Gorrow, co-founders and directors of the brand created ksubi as a culture of fashion, music and art. ksubi has since developed a dedicated national and international following, renowned for its originality, breathtaking press theatrics and acts of bawdy controversy. ksubi is a collective. It is not influenced by consumer trends and has inadvertently become a social commentator of its generation. ksubi is more than just a fashion label—it is a brand which sees fashion as an exercise in art. It’s a lifestyle, it revolves around music and friends—it is an expression. “ksubi is a word to describe our movement and our creative collective. It has no other meaning that what we give it.” says Single and Gorrow..NUDIE DENIMM CO: is the ”naked truth about denim”. Denim has the ability to age beautifully – formed by its user into a second skin, naked and personal. The longer it lives the more character it gets. The indigo is a living colour that fades and gives the denim its character. The more you wear your jeans the more beautiful they get. Jeans are more than just a piece of clothing. We love jeans, a passion we share with everyone who mourns a pair of worn out jeans as a close friend. Jeans share the same soul and attitude as music. The inspiration springs from the same dreams. As a true jeans brand they are not looking for the short-term trends. The inspiration is far from glamour and catwalks. The collection is tight, like a rock band, reflecting the feeling of everyday life. Design goes beyond creating just a product that serves to fulfill a need or a function. The philosophy of Nudie jeans is to become part of your dreams. Jeans have a natural built-in dream and attitude. Nudie will stay true to jeans and all about jeans..SHAKUHACHI: Shakuhachi's Jessie White career as fashion designer developed from a strong desire to design pieces based on necessity and instinct.Creating original artwork, Jessie brings together a sophisticated blend of modern, somewhat geometrical designs - a distinctive style developed through creative experimentation and natural creative curiosity.Jessie has taken her latest Shakuhachi collections to new heights, focusing primarily on beautifully refined silk dresses, leather goods, tailored jackets, shirts, boutique, cult flavour t-shirting, jeans and accessories. The Shakuhachi label has consistently inspired and maintained loyal followers who want to dress independently in a stylish and modern way.Jessie White’s Shakuhachi is an established and increasingly formidable force in the world of fashion design...Code Orange Miranda Shop 3041 Westfield Miranda NSW 2228 Phone 0295314455...Code Orange Cronulla 103 Cronulla Street Cronulla NSW 2230 Phone 0295274355...
