My Interests

working out...working in my yard...reading...yoga... experiencing new things, places, and ideas.

I'd like to meet:

There are just so many people that I would like to meet that It would be hard to write them all down. But here goes.........Alice Walker would top my list. I loved her book "The Color Purple." Maya Angelo, she is a one of a kind. I love to hear her talk. Yvonne Decarlo, she has been my secret obsession for years. Anne Rice would be a great person to sit down with for dinner. I love her books. Jessica Lange, I love her in anything that she does. Her voice warms my heart. The list can go on and on.

Music:

I really love music and the older I get the more I am moved by the power of songs and those who sing them. There is a true gift to putting poetry to music. As with most things in life, my taste in music is all over the place. I like musicans who like to make a statement with their music. "If Jesus Christ is alive and well then how come John and Elvis are dead. If Jesus Christ is going to save us from ourselves, How come Peace, Love, and Elvis are dead." George Michael

Movies:

I love a good movie! They just need to be good...."Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night." ALL ABOUT EVE...

Television:

I really try not to watch a lot of TV. It eats away too much of our lives. What little bit of TV I do watch I am sad to say is reality shows. I have recently been watching a lot of older shows on dvd. I would say the best show ever made has to be Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I great show! "I think I speak for everyone here when I say, "huh?"" -- Buffy

Books:

I really enjoy reading but have to really make the time here lately. Life has so many distractions that sometimes it is hard to do the things we love. There is nothing like getting caught up in a good book. My favorite book, one that has always stayed in my head is The Color Purple. The Color Purple, changed my views on religion. I read it as a fun book, but walked away feeling I had read one of the most spiritual books that was ever written. I was really able to connected with it. 'I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it....People think pleasing God is all God care about. But any fool living in the world can see it always trying to please us back,' Alice Walker.

Heroes:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Nightwing, Wonder Woman, The Authority ............... So I read comics.

These are Photos that I have taken of Charleston. This is why I love The Holy City." It is so beautiful here.
