Green apples on the tree are growing now. Green apples are going to be exploding now.

About Me

"Ed Wash is one of the foremost upcoming American painters." (comment by Anguile)............. I have been painting on and off for about fifteen years. I actually began my first semester in college at 19 studying interior design. At the time, the area of study was too structured and "boxed in". I was just too immature to appreciate the boundaries. So I moved over to the fine art department. I was exposed to much, taking a lot of art classes, as I was not on a degree plan. Even then I had an interest in architecture, but I was going to UNT in Denton which didn't offer the subject. After marriage and kids, when the kids were all in school the full day, I decided to return to school and to finally study architecture, attending UTA in Arlington. I was really only then at a time in my life that I could appreciate the value of order and dictates, which can in turn inspire the best kind of creative thinking. The paintings that are featured on this site have mostly been done in the last three years. If a price is shown, then, yes, it is for sale. My studio is also available for viewing by appointment. I would really appreciate any serious inquiries. To me, art really is a very serious matter. I also see the absolute opposite. Art is nothing. I wouldn't buy a piece of art or art materials for a project for that matter, if my family is hungry. Priorities must be established. But at the same time, creating, thinking, viewing, talking about, studying --- art is next to breathing. And not just painting - film, photography, music, performance, drawing, writing, ...any creative endeavor. Aussi, je parle Francais. Si des amis Francais veulent faire des commentaires, vos commentaires sont bien venus.............."You Can Never Go Back", 2'x4', latex and oil on wood ($1000)"What Was I Thinking? -1", 4'x6', latex on canvas ($3000)................."Hotel #3", 2'x4', latex and glue on wood with metal handles ($1500).................."Hotel #2", 2'x4', latex on wood ($1000)..................."Wisdom of the King", 2'x2', latex on wood, original art work for Anguile's first CD cover (NFS)..................."Measured and Found Wanting", 2'x2', latex on wood ($500)
