Ekin Cengizkan

Born in Ankara, Turkey in 1982. Started to play drums at the age of 12. In 2000 started to study drums and percussion at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul. Did private lessons with a great respected and well-known drummer Senol Kucukyildirim.In the university years took place in various bands. In 2001 joined Turkish rock band called Anima. In 2005 made a record deal with Sony BMG/Turkiye. Album released in 2006 called "animasal" www.myspace.com/animaofficial and www.animasal.comPerformed with many projects, jazz, r'n'b, pop, rock, folk, fusion, experimental, alternative.Graduated from YTU in 2006. He's won scholarship award from Berklee Collage of Music, and he will be continuing to his studies at Berklee in 2008.
