DJ OreO, whose real name is Glenn Robertson first made his debut as an artists in 2006, with the release of M.V.P (Most Valuable Producer). Born and raised in Dallas TX, OreO has always surrounded his self around music. His biggest influence was in rap music but also shared interest in gospel. Being apart of a Christian family, he found it hard to commit his self fully to rap. At the age of fifteen his mother threw away every rap cd he had ever own. Since rap wasn’t allowed in the Robertson family, OreO picked up a keyboard and started creating his own music. Oreo has never taken piano lessons, but has the ability to play by ear, which very few people can do. In 1999 OreO’s grandmother, Erma Jean Robertson passed away due to diabetes. Shortly after her passing, OreO decided to take his music to another level by creating DJ OreO and Erma J Productions. With his passion for music, OreO teamed up with many local artists in Arkansas to establish a name for his self. OreO has produced tracks for artists such as Eferno, Yung Tut and Myunderstood. In Spring 2006 OreO teamed up with rapper/engineer Eferno to work on OreO’s debut album M.V.P. M.V.P brought many local artists together and had a great effect to getting DJ OreO’s name noticed. M.V.P released on November 27, 2006 as apart of Burn Boy Entertainment/ Erma J Productions. M.V.P gave OreO a proven space in the music industry. In December 2006 Eferno introduced OreO to C.E.O, C. Henderson, of C’s Land. After two weeks C. Henderson put OreO on C’s Land. In January 2007 OreO returned to the studio to work on his sophomore album, but this time under C. Henderson direction. Don’t U Ever Doubt me, OreO’s sophomore album was finish in only three days, due to the album is mostly previously never heard before songs. The first single from the album, MJ’s On My Feet, is making its spins around the world. Don’t U Ever Doubt Me was released March 30, 2007 to the world. October 2007 DJ OreO hit the spot light hard hard with his anthem hit ((( HANDLE DAT )) which created a buzz real quick off of his 3rd album SELF-TITLED, which really should the groth in DJ OreO. ( all 3 albums can be found on iTunes )................so wat now....................after doing it all OreO is Currently workin on the 4th album "LIFE OF A ICON" which should hit stores mid May 2008 showing the hataz and fans that he STILL GOT IT!! so stay tuned for that one. DJ OreO is also still Producing sp get at him!! OreO says, "C’s Land has really improved and shaped me as an artists." The world will soon found out that OreO is not here to start beef or create haters, but just to live his dream to the fullest. OreO has always put God first and his life and wouldn’t live life any other way. Through it all, OreO has continued to walk with faith and believe in his self and nothing can stop him now!!!
