About Me

Who am I? I'm an Oklahoma girl who just happens to be living in Ohio. I have come to the conclusion of late that I really and truly am a product of my family, something which couldn't make me happier. The background picture is my mom when she was about 3 or 4 years old, and I think it's so great! Something else I've learned in the recent past is I love fast cars. Yes, really - I am hooked on the fine art of race cars. Thanks to Heather, Jeff, and all those frat boys...I mean team guys... Not only did I just find out I have the Speed Channel, I'm actually watching the damn thing. If you want to see me at a club, look for the dance floor, because I love to dance, you can judge my skills for yourself. *ahem* I have a great sense of humor, love to laugh and am a lucky mom to my great kids. ; ) I'm not really looking for anything here, just hanging out and playing! I am always up for getting to know smart, funny and interesting people. Please, if you decide to send me a friend request, send me a "Hey!" email first... I rarely add people without some kind of introduction.

My Interests

I'm interested in alot of things, so I guess it's easier to say what I'm not interested in. I'm not interested in players, I'm not interested in people who don't know how to be authentic. Highway tailgaters hack me off, so do those people who pass you while you're waiting in construction... The sound of crinkling candy wrappers or potato chip bags gives me the major heeby jeebies. ::::shudder:::: I have some pet peeves, such as people who use "entitled" incorrectly... a book is not entitled to anything but criticism, but I would like to know the title if you found it interesting. (Pay attention, there's a test at the end. ; ) LOL) I'm not all negative, so here's more:

I love dancing, talking and having fun... I think inside jokes and special memories are some of the best things in life. I love flirting, but don't take it too far. ; ) I'm one of those people who is honest to a fault, I won't go in the 10 item or less line if I have 11, even though I know no one else is counting. And then I get mad at myself for being anal about it, but what can you do? LOL

I love my kids; I have the best kids on the planet and wouldn't trade them for anything. The sound of laughing children is just right up there in things I love -- those belly laughs are the best. I guess that covers some of it, ask me if you have any questions I haven't addressed. ; ) LOL

I'd like to meet:

Just about anyone who is kind, cool and fun. I always like getting to know new people, and the internet's just the best way to do that with the time constraints we all face these days! : P

Gotta say, I have a new candidate for the "Like to Meetcha" file, Keith Anderson.

Besides the fact that he's an Oklahoma boy (can't go wrong with that....oh, wait.... I divorced one of those...LOL), he's got a great song out that I stumbled on last year. Despite the fact that it's country, I love this song, and think this guy's a hottie. Just in case you wanted to know. ; ) LOL Keith Anderson - Picking Wildflowers

I'd also love to meet Eddie Izzard, I've seen him on stage a couple times, and he makes me laugh. Hard. The man is brilliant.

On occasion, you're not able to see the picture of Mr Izzard, so here's an excerpt from one of his shows:

"His name changed from Jerry Dorsey to Englbert Humperdink! I mean, I'd just like to be in the room when they were working that one through:

Advisor:'Zinglebert Bambledack! Yingeebert Dangleban! Zanglebert Dingleback! Winglebert Humptiback! Slapbum Waller!'
Englebert Humperdink: 'What?'
Advisor: 'Alright, Kringlebert Fishtibuns! Steveibuns Buttrentrunden...'
EH: 'No, Jerry Dorsey! I like...'
Advisor: 'No we can't... Let's see, we have Zinglebert Bambledack, Dinglebert Wangledack, Slupbum Waller, Klingibum Fistlbars, Dinglebert Zambeldack, uh... Jerry Dorsey, Englerbert Humptiback, Zinglebert Bambledack, Engelbert Humperdink, Dinglebert Wingledank...'
EH:'No, no, go back one'"

--Eddie Izzard, Dress to Kill, 1999

And Santa, if I could meet the women who write www.gofugyourself.com, that would be great. Because they make me laugh.

Lastly, I'd like to meet Jack Black... because, again, the man makes me laugh. (Noticing a pattern here?) Anyway, he's hillllll-arious.

Music:

There's no way I could think of everything, but here's a shot: ABBA; Aerosmith; Bad Boy Bill; BC Camplight; The Beastie Boys; Ben Folds Five; Blues Traveler; Bob Marley; Crosby, Stills, Nash &Young; Disturbed; Death Cab For Cutie; DMB; ELO; Eric Clapton; Fatboy Slim; The Fixx; Fleetwood Mac; Gwen Stefani & No Doubt; Gorillaz; Harry Connick, Jr; James Blunt; James Taylor; Joshua Radin; Keane; Keith Anderson; The Kinks; Lenny Kravitz; Limkin Park; Missy Elliott; Modest Mouse; The Moody Blues; Muse; Peter Gabriel; Paul Oakenfold; Paul Simon; Pink; Prince; Red Hot Chili Peppers; Rush (don't tell my ex-husband); She Wants Revenge; Simon & Garfunkle; Sting; Talking Heads; They Might Be Giants; U2; UB40; Van Morrison; The White Stripes

Movies:

I don't have one specific favorite, I like all genres, for the most part. I like your typical chick flicks, and have times when nothing will do but an car-blowing-up-butt-kickin- action/adventure...like The Transporter, which *is* one of my favorites. I like movies that you have to think about, as long as my day hasn't been too stressful. ; ) No movie list for me would be complete without Monty Python and The Holy Grail. If you don't like it, you'd better lie about it, because that just may be a deal breaker. LOL Some of my "like-it-enough-to-buy-it" movies are: "What About Bob", "O Brother Where Art Thou", "The Usual Suspects", "A Christmas Story", and "The Mission", with Robert Dinero.

Well, u-- um, can we come up and have a look?

What Monty Python Character are you?

Television:

I'm not proud of my tv watching, I have several guilty pleasure shows... like Desperate Housewives, which I love. I also like shows like Super Nanny and Wife Swap, generally because no matter how bad *I* may think I have it, I'm doing better than those people. I've gotten into Nip/Tuck this season, and also like My Name Is Earl. I've been watching Medium since it started last year, too, although I don't really believe in all that psychic stuff.

Books:

The actual title of this is "Catalina Magdalena Hoopensteiner Wallendiner Hogan Logan Bogan was Her Name" but I really like Max's title better :

"Smell My Feet"

Don't miss it... the book is out!

Heroes:

My kids - they are my heroes, to be sure.
