Nakava Kava Bar

Your Local Island Getaway

About Me

Nakava is North America's first kava bar . Inspiration for the kava bar orginates in the island of Vanuatu in the south Pacific. Originally known as the Nakamal, Nakava has matured into its own right and has become more than a nakamal. Its an American-take on a south Pacific mainstay is a vacation to an island nation without the travel. Nakava kava bar serves the kava drink which is a beverage made from the roots of a pepper plant native throughout the south Pacific. Kava drinking is akin to drinking beer although it is not alcoholic or should be mixed with alcohol. Kava produces a mellow and relaxing effect, yet drinkers maintain sharp mental faculties.
