Advection Music is run by Tidal & Galaxi (this Trans-Atlantic collaborative effort) has been 4 years in the making, and now finally is set for it's debut 12" release forthcoming, in 2006.
The label was setup to contribute towards the deeper side of drum 'n' bass; and to cater for the many subgenre's often lost & forgotten in the mainstream styles today.
AM is a global representation of the scene, which will be releasing quality upfront progressive music for your mind & body. With artists ranging from various backgrounds both nationally (UK) and internationally.
The Advection Team has a ready-made roster of Artists & DJ's including Tidal, Galaxi, Deep Gemini, Keid, Mindgear, Jay Le Roc & MC Smilee, Kytel, Pete Rann, Solarstation, Enterprize, Soul Objective, Mingus, Scenic & Advisory.
AM also runs the Central Projection nights in Birmingham alongside Launch Pad, to further push the sound of deep drum n bass in the Midlands.
The first release is the debut 12" from Tidal (ADV001) with the tracks, Gemini Force & 'Wisdom Tunnels.
The second release(ADV002) is a 12" with the tracks Galaxi - 'Black Hole' & 'Outer Limits'
CD Compilations are soon follow including the first LP release which is entitled 'Tomorrows Explorers :Volume 1'. With will also be available in a DJ friendly EP series.
AM is currently using the underground 'DIY method' of selling vinyl via the label website and self-distribution to the records shops up and down the UK, and selected stores overseas.
AM are only releasing limited edition material, so it's a first come first served' policy. This means it adds some exclusivity to the music.
AM is the home base label for Deep Gemini (Galaxi & Tidal) so expect innovative productions from the duo.
