Starveya

ok uh let me see. starveya was formed a long ass time ago. 1999 i think. starveya is proud to be one of the biggest west covinian bands to NOT follow that nu-metal epidemic that swept across the nation at the turn of the millenium. i will not name drop on the guilty parties...right now. anyway, there were numerous shows, recordings, member changes, hangovers, and unprotected sexual encounters - all of which contributed to the evolution of the band. lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter aaron martinez emerged as the only remaining member (the others left to put their full efforts into another band that had been formed previously) and in early 2007 found himself a second guitarist, desiree martinez, who plays bass for the band. haha, i'm sure he found her before - she's his sister. not sure what took that union so long, she's good. anyway then in march of 2007, after many attempted meetings, aaron finally jammed with bassist kenny lockwood, who plays drums for the band. the trio immediately played shows in 3 consecutive nights and now have played more than 20 shows in the past 6 months. starveya currently seeks a drummer to play lead guitar and an amputee to play keyboards. besides live shows and songwriting, the band is currently finishing up a demo that has taken longer to record than some metallica or even tool albums. it must be perfect. there are no less than 8 different musicians to have participated on the recordings so far. be sure to get a copy when it's available and check out a show sometime. you'll probably need an ID and expect to drink. anyway, if you finished reading this and thought it was too long, just note that the song playing on this page is still nowhere near even half over. yeah.
