I'm feeling the need to update this section since myspace seems to be a meat market, and I'm on the shelf. I'm getting a whole lot of random guys wanting to chat with me, so read this first: -I'm very picky, but I have strange standards. -Just because I'm a single Mom, doesn't mean that I'm easy. -I'm not going to discuss my sex life with you. Get your own, you can think about it later. -I will not send you nude pictures. Hell, I probably won't even send you any other kind of pictures either. -I'm moody. My moods are kind of like New England weather. If you don't like it now, wait a few minutes, it'll change. -My moods have distinct personalities. -I'm observant even when I don't share what I see. -I like to be entertained. -I study odd people like a science project. -I don't play games with people. If you're not a straight forward kind of person, then move along. I'm not as stupid as you'd need me to be. -I value loyalty and honesty in my friends. -I know who my friends are. I don't need them to pass on a stupid chain letter to prove it. -I don't add everyone. If you want to be added, send me a note and I'll think about it. -You have to be pretty damn spectacular for me to forgive you. But I never forget. -I'm conservative, but not innocent. -Don't confuse accomodating with submissiveness. -I collect teddy bears. -I love hats. -If you're thinking of whining to me about your failing relationship, don't. I really don't want to hear you rationalizing things to yourself. -It takes a long time for me to open up. -It takes a longer time for me to let my guard down. -My daughter will always be more important to me than you.Layout by Tennaya Layouts / HotFreeLayouts

My Interests

Create your own Friend Quiz here I love to read and cuddle up and watch a movie. People watching is always fun too. I like to go hiking, light hiking not where you would need special gear. I love to go to the beach. Pretty much anything relaxing outdoors.

I'd like to meet:

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been closed for fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it. I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own. If you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful. Be realistic to remember the limitations of being human. It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithful and therefore trustworthy. I want to know if you can see beauty even if its not pretty everyday. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, "yes". It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children. It doesn't interest me who you know, or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back. It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments. - Oriah

Music:

VAST, Tori Amos, They Might Be Giants, Violent Femmes, Evenescence, Seether, Chopin, Hed PE, Slipknot, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Neil Diamond, Guns n Roses, Type O Negative, Elvis, DJ Irene, Fatboy Slim, and whatever else tickles my ears at that moment.

Movies:

I'm a big movie fan. I love 80's slasher flicks, comedys, and classics if you will. Right now I'm happy to watch anything that isn't Disney.

Television:

Gilmore Girls is a must. I also watch The Sopranos, Ultimate fighting, South Park, Distraction, and most anything else that Comedy Central puts on. ..

Books:

I have a small library in my house. My favorite book is Dante's Divine Comedy. Authors I like are Laurell K. Hamilton, JK Rowling, Leo Tolstoy, Yu Watase, Charles Dickens, Robert Rankin. A note on Robert Rankin: If you haven't read "The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse" then do it! Then read everything else starting with "Armegeddon: The Musical".

Heroes:

Elizabeth I. She went with her own instincts and survived against the odds.
