Youve seen them on televisions American Idol and VH1s Best Week Ever...but get ready... because you are about to see and hear a lot more from them in the very near future. Im talking about the RED HOT singing duo- The Twins. The group members, Josh and Jarrett Simmons, could make it in the industry solely based on their irresistible vocals and charm, but their talents dont stop there. Theyre getting used to sending crowds into frenzies with infectious song lyrics written by them, along with their electrifying dance moves. Needless to say, these guys are ripe and ready for superstardom.
The Twins were born and raised in Inkster, Mi, just outside of Detroit, and have been exposed to much of the regions musical richness. They realized at an early age that they had been given a great gift of singing, and quickly became passionate about perfecting that gift. As early as age five, The Twins were singing along to their favorite tunes from the likes of Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. When asked about past childhood experiences, Jarrett recalled, Its something weve always done...singing and dancing to M.J. videos. I remember always having fun.
As teenagers, The Twins continued to sing along with the greats while gaining performance experience through many different talent shows. After winning one such talent show, they were given the opportunity to sing at a WNBA Detroit Shocks Basketball Game. The Twins performance was followed by a performance by recording artist, Wayne Wonder during that same event.
In September 2005, Josh and Jarrett decided to bring their singing talents to a national stage. The Twins auditioned for American Idol in Chicago, Illinois, where they were unanimously voted to go to Hollywood. Following their auditions in Chicago, they were approached by many producers who offered to work with them if American Idol didnt work out. Those offers would prove valuable because even with impressive performances, The Twins were controversially eliminated from the competition, a dream deferred not ended.
January 2006 would serve as a new beginning for The Twins rapidly growing career. They were given their first opportunity to write and record their own music while at the same time, tested their will to succeed in this industry.
They have made a promise to come with FIRE, and they will not disappoint. Their new songs are poised to heat up the music scene in the very near future and solidify them a place in music history.
